Think You Don't Like Poetry?
Try this by racer-poet Ed Milich

[Safety Wire]

Christ on a crotchrocket.

I have stabbed myself with safety wire again.

In a moment of reflection, I consider

that the name “safety wire” is a misnomer

as I have never more consistently

scratched,

impaled

hooked,

pierced,

or otherwise

injured myself with any other product

as I have with this one,

particularly a product

that purports to exist

for the purpose of safety.

Dirtbike Challenge 2010

From founder Wendell Jones on the eastern front...Dirtbike Challenge 2010. Late Spring 2010 Take all winter to build something or just finish your long over due project, no pressure, no rules, no budget, no hidden fees, NO WAY! Free beer, tee shirts and music and as much fun as you can have with your clothes on! Bring your Harleys, Nortons, Suzukis, WHATEVER. There is no website, no blog BS, and there will be no calenders printed of anything, its not about the money, Bro. Stay tuned for more info as it comes in. Build away, event date spring 2010. Stayed tuned
One of the original four original founders of the crazy and fun San Francisco event called The Dirtbag Challenge is starting his own event called The Dirtbike Challenge. Wendell Jones and the other founders had a rockband like falling out and each went their respective ways. One of the founders, Poll Brown carried on with the original event and now Wendell Jones is creating his own.
The events are similar in that they both have bands, beer, burnouts and crazy machines. Except the original version is choppers built on a budget and now the other event will be based on crazy dirtbikes. For example we hear an Honda dual-purpose NX250 bike will be stuffed with a 650 Honda Hawk twin motor. We cant wait, there is definitely room in this world for both a Dirtbike Challenge and a Dirtbag Challenge events. 2 events of this kind in one year should be epic.
Pictured below is a 1996 Suzuki RM250 with and EX500 motor stuffed into it.
